So the BIG ONE will be at Homecoming this year. Conkie said that it will be early (we'll get the date up here as soon as we find out what it is again), and it will still be hot in Parker...what else is old news. We'll pull out all the stops and have an Early Bird party on Thursday, of course Lunch at a local eatery on Friday and then off to the Alumni Tea. There will probably be a Tailgate Party before the game. Then the game, and maybe even some kind of bonfire...probably not as big as in the past, maybe just a campfire!
Never know about Saturday...some like a Poker Run, others like a Golf Tournament. Suggestions are welcome. We've had a big BBQ in the past, and a Dinner/Dance in the evening. Probably a lot of folks will drink the night away and we'll go someplace for breakfast on Sunday morning that features hangover remedies.
Walt Johnson and Conkie want to do something in Sedona...reminiscent of our Senior Trip. Oh! What memories...to be told around the campfire! I talked to Muggie and she said that if we're going to Sedona we ought to go in the summer so we can enjoy Oak Creek Canyon. More on that later.
The whole idea behind this blog is that it has an easy address: ParkerHighReunion.blogspot.com. So pass that on to everyone. There is space to comment. We'll probably link to a Facebook page and go from there.
We want EVERYONE to come! Pass the word. We are especially inviting those we went to school with for the years 1960-1965 so that we'll have lots to talk about at the various gatherings.
